BRUSH Mural Fest, founded in 2022 by three local female muralists, is Baltimore’s hyper-local mural festival created to empower the city’s artists.

Built for artists, by artists, BRUSH Mural Fest supports Baltimore-based muralists by providing education, mentorship, resources, and paid opportunities that help build sustainable creative careers while strengthening the city’s cultural and economic landscape. Through initiatives like Community Paint Days, BRUSH transforms Baltimore’s public spaces into vibrant expressions of local creativity, deepening community appreciation for public art and fostering meaningful connections between residents and artists. Our Artist Incubator Program further advances this mission by equipping emerging artists with professional development workshops, portfolio support, and direct connections to paid opportunities—serving as our primary pathway for educating and preparing the next generation of muralists. Grounded in a commitment to fairness, collaboration, and local investment, BRUSH prioritizes equitable pay and contracts while, by focusing solely on Baltimore City artists, ensuring that economic impact stays within the city’s creative community.
